Rescue Me!

I believe in rescuing.  I believe in second chances, and that is just what a rescue dog deserves and needs.  Rescue organizations are abundant here in New York, all of them have incredible dogs and cats looking for their forever home and family.  Last night, I went to Gotham Magazine’s ( summer kick off party, and Bideawee ( was there with three of their adorable pups who need homes.  I fell madly in love with one, her name is Karla, she is about four months old and a lab mix that came all the way from Alabama to find her happy future.  She had the absolute sweetest disposition.  I wanted to take her home so badly.  All of these dogs were so sweet, so happy to just be held and loved for a little bit. If you have the time, space, and ability to go out there and adopt a dog, I highly recommend you do so.  There is no more rewarding feeling than taking home a sweet little fur-baby who needs your love.  And the love you will feel each and every time you walk in your house is indescribable.

This is Karla.

Karla is looking for a family to take her home and love her unconditionally and she promises to do the same in return.  Here she is posing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge.

This is Linda, a Chihuahua, fox terrier mix.  Another sweetheart looking to start her new life.

If you have not heard of Bideawee, please check them out.  They are an incredible organization with lots of dogs and cats that need homes.  Don’t forget that puppies go quickly, but there is also something to be said for adopting an older dog.  They usually come trained, and they will love you just as much.

Happy adopting!
